Where does Dr. Orozco and Chris Adams PA-c see patients?Dr. Orozco and Chris Adams, Dr. Orozco's physician assistant, sees patients in our Linwood office on Mondays, our Manahawkin address on Wednesdays, and our Hammonton office on the second Friday of the month.

Where does Dr. Orozco operate?Dr. Orozco operates at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, located at 65 W Jimmie Leeds Road, Pomona, New Jersey and the AtlantiCare Center for Orthopaedic Surgery located at 2500 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. What insurances do you take?Orozco Orthopaedics takes most major insurance plans, however it is best to call and confirm that we take your particular insurance carrier. We can advise you if we are in-network or out of network. We generally accept: Medicare, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Braven, Aetna, United Healthcare, Oxford Cigna, Tricare, Wellcare, Emblem, GHI, NY Empire, and Clover insurances.

Do you accept Worker's Compensation Claims?Yes, Dr. Orozco does evaluate and treat worker's compensation claims. Please contact our office at 609-300-7779 ext. 300 to discuss the process.

How do I schedule an appointment?In order to schedule an appointment please call us directly at 609-300-7779 option 1. Please have your insurance information at the time of your call.

Do I need to have a patient portal?While it is not necessary to have a patient portal, it is a great feature to have. Through your patient portal you can access your medical records, send messages to the team, and request an appointment. You will also have access to educational documents related to your condition.

Do I need to pre-medicate before dental or other procedures?Dr. Orozco recommends lifetime pre-medications for all dirty procedures including dental, colonoscopies, and ingrown toe nail treatment. We will prescribe you oral antibiotics to take one hour prior to your appointments. You do not need to pre-medicate for biopsies, pap smears, tattoos, piercings, eye surgeries, lab work, or other procedures. If you are having a another major surgery such as another joint replacement or abdominal surgery, you will be given IV antibiotics that will protect you and do not need to take additional oral antibiotics.

Why do I need x-rays to see the doctor, even if I have an MRI?While an MRI shows advanced images, it is not weightbearing images. Dr. Orozco has special x-rays views that he needs to help guide your treatment. These x-rays are taking standing up so that Dr. Orozco can see how gravity affects your joint space to help determine the extent of your arthritis.
